The pathway to understanding

By Dan Barber

Obama Joint Chiefs pick's tough task: Cut pay

During my career with the Navy, I was periodically "required" to participate in "Command Climate" surveys. Most of the things I took issue with were never addressed to my satisfaction, but the illusion of being able to b..ch without fear of reprisal gave me some small temporary comfort. I found that the leaders I served under were much more successful if they were people oriented and forward thinking as General Dunford seems to be. The "ring knockers" that’ve rested on their historic laurels were mostly a waste of good oxygen. I hope that Dunford is smart enough to know that Obama, who is not people oriented and is not popular with the rank and file of the military, is trying to use the General's popularity as a tool to tear down future financial support for the troops and their families.

Clinton calls for path to citizenship, countering GOP immigration views

The "pathway to citizenship" should be defined as applying through the appropriate channels to gain U.S. citizenship. How progressive Democrats define it is, applying for forgiveness of an illegal action which equates to violating the rights of potential legal immigrants, to gain citizenship so those new citizens can register as a democratic voter.

Hoping to highlight good works, Clintons find controversy instead

According to this article, "Chelsea Clinton said many employees have been confused by the scrutiny."

“When you look at the 2,200 people who work at the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton Health Access Initiative, it would be disingenuous to say it hasn’t affected people,” she said. “But it’s affected people insofar as they don’t understand why the world isn’t more interested in the work that they’re doing.”

My questions are, "What are the payroll costs? Where do these people work? What are the job titles...account managers, comptrollers, financial advisers, telephone solicitors, lobbyists, etc?

Aide to Kamala Harris, 2 others accused of running rogue police force

I've always suspected that politicians and their pundits are masters of their own make-believe realities; these three "delusion-artists" have confirmed my suspicions.
