Liberal Progressives and Obama have been trying to destroy the fossil fuel industry in favor of renewable energy as part of their party platform. Three out of the four states with the highest tax rates on gasoline and diesel fuel are controlled by Democrats, California, Hawaii, and New York, Pennsylvania's state house has a Republican majority. Of those four states, California's per-gallon tax is a bit lower, but the Democratic-controlled state legislature and Governor Jerry Brown are working on legislation to reduce greenhouse effect pollution has on the planet's ozone layer by rationing fuel sold in the state... I suppose another way to reduce the amount of fuel sold in California is to make it unaffordable. Don’t even get me started on smoke and mirrors… I mean Cap and Trade legislation restrictions!
